Small Luxury Hotels of the World™ (SLH) is growing its exclusive portfolio with exciting new hotels just in time for the summer holidays. These new additions will appeal to all types of holiday-seeker, from lakes and mountains in the Austrian Alps, private beaches in Sardinia and Croatia and chic city breaks in Thailand and Naples.

Akyra Manor, Chiang Mai, Thailand – OPENING 1ST JULY 2015
The all-suite Akyra Manor is a striking boutique hotel in the centre of Thailand’s buzzing second city. Each suite is wrapped around its own private courtyard with an outdoor hot tub and conveys urban sophistication through stylish contemporary interiors with some anticipated gadgets, such as Bluetooth speakers, espresso machines and iDocks complete with a large music library. From the hotel’s rooftop pool and bar, Rise, guests can take in the thriving activity of the chic boutiques, galleries and bars below, or gaze out at the mist-topped hills of northern Thailand. Its restaurant, Italics, is anticipated as Chiang Mai’s best new restaurant, set to transform Italian cuisine with locally sourced, high quality ingredients while reinventing classic dishes.

Boutique Hotel Alhambra, Losinj Island, Croatia – OPENING JULY 2015
Boutique Hotel Alhambra is a conversion of a grand mansion house built over 100 years ago, which retains the Austro Hungarian style and architecture of the former villa. The hotel sits on Losinj Island in the Kvarner gulf, renowned for its deep blue waters, amid a forest of tall pines, agaves and palm trees, with access to a private beach. The fine dining restaurant uses ingredients sourced from local artisan producers and offers al fresco dining on a terrace overlooking the sea. There’s also a traditional tea bar and well-stocked wine cellar with Croatian and international wines to complement the food. Rooms are classically chic with Art Deco touches and all offer a sea view from a balcony, loggia or terrace.

Hotel La Coluccia, Conca Verde, Sardinia, Italy
The first boutique hotel in Sardinia, La Coluccia is a hotel and private beach club in the fashionable area of Costa Smeralda on the north coast of the island. The pristine white buildings of the hotel are set in beautiful parkland, where Mediterranean pinewoods provide shade from the Italian sun. A private cove features a white sand beach, turquoise waters and granite rocks with views over the majestic Maddalena archipelago. The hotel has its own permanent exhibition space showcasing work of international and emerging contemporary artists, and there’s also a spa and wellness centre with Turkish bath, relaxation room and a gym, as well as indoor and open air massage areas. La Coluccia’s gourmet restaurant serves Sardinian specialities and freshly-caught seafood with al fresco dining.

Hotel Tannenhof, St Anton am Arlberg, Austria
With just seven suites, Hotel Tannenhof is a traditional Tyrolean retreat overlooking mountains and forests, perfectly located for enjoying St Anton’s famous skiing in winter, or stunning hiking trails in the warmer months. The intimate hotel exudes a warm Austrian ambience through wood panelled features, luxurious furnishings and regal fabrics combining tyrolean tradition with modern style across the suites and reception areas. The Tannenhof’s gourmet cuisine showcases the best flavours of Tyrol with local ingredients and accompanied with wine selected from an extensive cellar by the hotel’s sommelier.

Romeo Hotel, Naples, Italy
Romeo Hotel is a trend-setting design hotel that offers all the essential elements for a stylish city break. Located directly on the Bay of Naples with views of Capri and Mount Vesuvius, and just a short walk from the heart of historic Naples, Romeo’s waterfront setting is a great base for exploring the city as well as for day trips further up the coast. After a busy day of sightseeing, guests can relax in the rooftop pool or the glamorous spa that features a Himalayan salt sauna and thalassotherapy steam baths. When it comes to dining there’s plenty of choice, with Michelin-starred Il Comandante serving fine dining Mediterranean fare at the top of the hotel, a more casual sushi restaurant and bar, and the Beluga Sky Restaurant connected to the outdoor pool and terrace.
