Gaia Hotel & Reserve

Romantic luxury rainforest resort overlooking the Pacific Ocean

Nestled amongst the pristine wilderness of Costa Rica’s coastal rainforests, Gaia Hotel & Reserve has stunning views in every direction and is surrounded by a spectacular range of wildlife. An adults-only property, this tropical getaway is an eco-friendly hotel with great food, a spa, a gym, an exotic pool and a beautiful sandy beach.

Stone, concrete and steel staircases lead to different levels of the architecturally modern designed building. Large windows in Gaia Hotel’s studios, suites and villas provide amazing views of the rainforest or the Pacific Ocean.

Take a guided mangrove boat tour to see the diversity of plants and wildlife or go white-water rafting and enjoy the thrill of passing through untamed rivers that flow through the tropical wilderness. Return to Gaia Hotel & Reserve for evening cocktails in the bar before dinner in La Luna restaurant while watching the red rays of the setting sun.

Caring Luxury

GAIA Hotel & Reserve is a leader in the community through its President and part owner's participation on the non-profit organization COPAZA (www.COPAZA.org). La Asociación de Desarrollo Comunitario para la Prevención, Seguridad y Paz del Cantón de Aguirre, COPAZA, is an organization that arose through the initiative of the First Vice President of Costa Rica and the Minister of Justice, Laura Chinchilla, and the Vice Minister of Justice, Mayela Coto. Ms. Coto coordinates the National Violence Prevention Commission within the framework of a pilot plan to become involved in the prevention of violence and promotion of social peace, which is expected to be replicated in other parts of the country. Originally made up of representatives from the Municipal Council of the Districts in the Canton and the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Tourism, and with the help of humanitarian efforts, currently we are a development association made up of 450 young people and 230 adults from diverse organizations in Aguirre. The Ministry of Justice and COPAZA are articulating programs from diverse institutions to prevent violence and promote social peace through a working agenda they have developed together. Its pivot point is to provide cultural, sports, and job opportunities for the young people in the canton, primarily those who are at social risk, to contribute to their integral development. In general, COPAZA has an outpatient rehab, a modern up-to-date community theatre for 250 persons, classes in MS Office for over 200 students, drama and dancing classes, amongst other activities
