The room, the beach, the pool, and especially the staff. Everyone was so nice and helpful. The GM Giancarlos was lovely with stories of his misadventures in NYC. Take the recommendation of the desk crew and rent a golf cart for the day (abt $ 55 US a day). A great way to see the island, both the downtown and the panoramic beach drive. The golf carts mix in with cars, motorscoooters and bikes but everyone seems to watch out for one and other. Stop to see the artist’s island made of plastic bottles (supposedly on the Discovery Channel and National Geographic) a few blocks from the hotel on way to town. The second day we elected to stay at the beach of the Rolandi and enjoy the cold beers and delicious pizza served there for lunch. A beautiful stingray floated by a few times. You can pet them if you are careful! We were especially appreciative of the seamless way Villa Rolandi accommodated us after we had to make changes to our dates.
