Things to do

NATURE
Make time to visit the Congress Avenue Bridge. Austin is home to the largest urban bat colony in the world, and you’ll see about 1.5 million of them right here. They take off en masse every evening during the summer, and it can be quite a sight.

CULTURE
This is a city with music at its heart. Head to Austin City Limits for big name groups, or stop by one of the city’s bars, near your luxury hotel, to listen to local bands. If you’re visiting in March, you could catch over 2,000 performers playing at the South by Southwest Festival, too.

DRINK
If you’re a coffee lover, you’ve come to the right city. Judging from the number of coffee shops, every local loves caffeine too. You can find poetry reading, music or just good conversation at many locations – alongside the tempting smell of roasted beans.
