To get your cultural fix, you could spend a day or two exploring Portsmouth – a beautifully preserved colonial city on the banks of the Piscataqua River. Portsmouth has a buzzing arts scene, with a Music Hall that plays host to local and national musicians. There are also galleries and shops that are wonderful places to browse for artwork from New Hampshire’s collective of craftsmen.
