Things to do

New Hampshire boasts some truly spectacular scenery to discover. Head to the north of the state to explore the magnificent White Mountains, home to Mount Washington – the highest peak in New England. Hike along forest trails, up to mountain meadows full of Alpine flowers. Or book a private nature walk and you may spot moose, beaver and even black bears.

With its peaks, forests and countless lakes, New Hampshire is a dream for those in search of outdoor adventure. The warmer months are the time to try white water rafting, along with exploring Lake Winnipesaukee by boat or kayak. In winter, don your skis to explore New Hampshire’s thrilling slopes and cross-country trails.

This historic state has many fine towns and cities to explore. To get your cultural fix, you could spend a day or two exploring Portsmouth – a beautifully preserved colonial city on the banks of the Piscataqua River. Portsmouth has a buzzing arts scene, with a Music Hall that plays host to local and national musicians. There are also galleries and shops that are wonderful places to browse for artwork from New Hampshire’s collective of craftsmen.

Spend a day beside the sea. New Hampshire has a small, yet beautiful, stretch of coastline that’s popular with surfers and hikers alike.
