An early 20th-century, medieval-styled castle with towers and turrets, Castle on the Hudson is perched on a hilltop overlooking the Hudson River, just 25 miles north of New York City. Resembling an ancient fortress, it is set in a ten-acre wooded estate complete with an outdoor pool, tennis and bocce courts, and has an award-winning restaurant.
With more than an element of grandeur, Castle on the Hudson has a romantic ambience with stained glass windows in the Great Hall, tapestries and beautiful paintings. The rooms and suites have delightful views of the Hudson Valley and Manhattan skyline and in-room spa services are available on request.
Try the taster menu at the award-winning restaurant, Equus and choose to sit in the Tapestry Room with its elaborate designed ceiling, or opt for the Garden Room with its magnificent garden views or Castle on the Hudson’s historic Louis XIV Oak Room, transported from France a century ago.
