Things to do

Renowned for its hot springs, Conghua is Mother Nature’s own health resort. Here the water trickles down through the green mountains into pools, surrounded by lychee trees. Immerse yourself in the steaming, mineral-rich waters – said to relieve tired muscles and nourish the skin – and experience a truly exclusive spa.

If you visit Shimen National Forest Park, don’t forget your camera. For half of the year it’s blanketed with red and russet leaves. Other times you can stroll through the Pastoral and Shimen Scenic Areas among fragrant plum flowers and peach blossom. Be sure to make your way to one of the park’s designating sightseeing spots – you’ll discover magical mountain and forest vistas.

The discovery of Qiangang Village by archaeologists has opened up a fascinating chapter in Conghua’s history. Step through one of the ornate gates and explore the winding avenues and centuries-old houses in this 700-year old site. It gives a fascinating glimpse of the ancient Lingnan culture.

After relaxing in the blissful waters at Conghua Hot Springs, try something a little more invigorating. A trio of waterfalls, including Rainbow Falls, are nearby.
