1.5 hours (65 miles/85 kms) from Genghis Khan International Airport - 1.5 hours NE from capital city of Ulaanbaatar which is 67 miles from the hotel.. It is suggested that guests use the hotel Airport Shuttle as there are no taxis at the Airport. A drive may be arranged with private car with advanced notice and reservation at time of hotel reservation. Driver will meet the designated flight. All drivers are professional and are insured - please note they will not drive after dark or before sunrise.. We do not recomend at all driving on your own , here are the directions from the Airport are as follows:. Depart Arport - Turn right on Chinggis Avenue (not marked), Pass the stadium on the right - turn right on Peace Avenue - Once past the bridge turn right on Ikh Toiruu Street - Pass Naran Tuul open market (watch for traffic congestion) Drive 19 miles on the main road - Pass first check-point after second bridge over the River Tuul - pass the second toll gate and keep going for another 20 miles.Take the left Fork and Pass the Kasak village of Nalakah (on the right) and Army camp (on the left) - drive for an additional 15 Miles and take the 2nd left fork (unmarked) by the Large Bilboard of Genghis Khan statue on his Horse - Drive up the hill and down apx 10 miles to the Terelj Noational Park Gate guarded by the Mongolian Army - every one is expected to stop. Pas over a long bridge over the river and drive for an additional 30 miles - The road narrows and their are to steep hphills and one steep down hill - drive for 3 miles and you will see the copper domes of Terelj Hotel - enter through the main gate which is clearly marked.
