Pimalai Earth & Social Care – Airport Transfer Project
Living adjacent to a pristine National Marine Park reminds us of the vulnerability of this planet to the effects of global warming and of natural disasters as well. This encourages us to be practical in our consumption of the gasoline used in transportation and to use it as sparingly as possible without upsetting the comfort and convenience of our guests…and also to minimize the effect on the quality of our local air, land and sea environments. A Pimalai goal is to be as "Truly Green" as possible so we are therefore launching a new transfer schedule, to and from the resort, which is aimed at reducing our carbon output to the world.
From June 2011 onwards we will implement a new boat transfer schedule as following:
Depending on the season / Depending on weather & sea conditions
Arrival Transfer
1030H – Resort Boat departs from Pimalai boat base at Bahuahin Jetty on the mainland to bring arriving guests to Pimalai resort front floating jetty or Amphur Kao Old Town Jetty on the East coast of Lanta island
1600H – Resort Boat departs from Pimalai boat base at Bahuahin Jetty on the mainland to bring arriving guests to Pimalai resort front floating jetty or Amphur Kao Old Town Jetty on the east coast of Lanta island

The journey to or from Pimalai takes approximately 1hr 45mins up to 2hr 15mins depending on the season and the route selected by the resort to handle the transfer. Transfers INTO and OUT of the resort are subject to weather and sea conditions.
