Top 3 reasons to stay at the hotel:
-
A peaceful and idyllic resort nestled on a sleepy beach in a quiet and lesser visited corner of Krabi with stunning views across the bay and a sunset to die for.
-
A laid back approach to life where top quality accommodation, good food, unobtrusive service and a range of spa and leisure activities are delivered seamlessly.
-
A real break from those large and faceless chain resorts. Personal service and individuality are assured. A great place to escape and wind down, allowing the cares of the world to drift by. No one here will object if your top priorities are chilling out and relaxing.
Overview:
The Nakamanda Resort & Spa is a short 40 minute taxi ride from Krabi Airport.
Guests are welcomed upon arrival by friendly smiling local staff and greeted with a refreshing drink and cool towel. You will soon be escorted to one of 39 spacious villas, some with their own private pools. The villas are spread across a steep hillside providing views of the sea or garden. Steps and walkways connect the villas with common areas and the spa, pool, restaurant and beach. Whilst unsuitable for guests with physical disabilities the terraced effect of the layout really adds charm and interest to the resort.
Every villa has its own shaded balcony or terrace, with day bed, leading towards a glass double-door entrance to the expansive bedroom and bathroom. The villas ooze luxury and are beautifully appointed with copious use of teak, enormous beds, top quality linens and a comfortable window seat. TV, DVD, Mini-bar and Tea & Coffee making facilities are of course standard.
The bathrooms are particularly light and airy with sunken baths, separate showers and double basins, wardrobes and dressing areas. Bathrobes, slippers and a full range of high quality toiletries are provided. In fact every comfort has been considered.
Once you are settled into the resort you can then consider how much or little you wish to do with your time. No one here is going to make that decision for you and absolutely nothing but chilling and relaxing appears to be the option followed by most guests. You can lie by the sizeable pool sipping a cool drink from the bar, or once the tide comes in take a dip in the turquoise sea in the rocky bay fronting the resort. You could immerse yourself in one of the many spa treatments offered at the resort, or if you are feeling more adventurous take one of the resort’s complimentary kayaks out into the bay. If you wish to venture further afield there are small shops and cafes within walking distance from the resort, or take a short taxi ride to the nearby town of Ao Nang.
As the sun sets on the Nakamanda Resort & Spa head for the beach bar for an expertly mixed cocktail. Sit back, relax and view the stunning colours across the bay whilst watching the long-tail boats returning tired guests from their day trips to the local islands.
Finally, enjoy a delicious dinner sitting right out by the beach under the stars or in the luxury of the air conditioned restaurant. A varied menu of both Thai and Western dishes will tempt your taste buds with a liberal use of fresh local produce, particularly seafood. An equally extensive wine list compliments the chef’s endeavours. So go ahead and indulge.
…and thus ends another day in paradise.

Top 3 reasons to stay at the hotel:
-
Outside dining - a really great experience for ambience and quality of food, both dinner and breakfast.
-
Staff really pleasant, helpful and extremely attentive.
-
Concierge very helpful in advising where to go and what to do in the area. When we travelled the weather was inclement and they advised us NOT to go on the water as it was heavy seas and in a time when an earthquake had just hit and could possibly be very uncomfortable on the water.
Overview:
Resort very comfortable, poolside beautiful and the food very impressive. Staff could not do enough for us to make our stay a very memorable one.
