Caring Luxury
Reflecting the growing concern for the environment around the world, the design brief for Twinpalms Phuket stated that the project should demonstrate a forward eco-consciousness, as well as establishing and maintaining a high level of social responsibility. Today, Twinpalms Phuket is at the fore of local industry by being a leader in preserving the islands natural beauty, eco-systems and environment. In order to conserve the use of electricity at Twinpalms Phuket, the rooms and suites have many elements governed by computer. For example, the lights and the air-conditioning system are automatically shut-down if the doors to the room have been left open for more than a few minutes. Other features include central remote control, which offers an overview of the room status, as well as time-of-day controlled lights. In addition, each room has a main power switch that enables the management of energy usage to be centralised and efficiently regulated by the resident.
