For the seventh consecutive year, Harbour Village Beach Club won over other Bonaire dive hotels after being voted as the island's leading hotel by the World Travel Awards. More than 185,000 travel professionals participated in the strictly monitored and independently audited voting process.

The World Travel Awards is described as the biggest, most comprehensive, and most prestigious awards program in the travel industry worldwide. It is dubbed as "the travel industry's equivalent to the Oscars" by the Wall Street Journal and the "biggest travel event of the year" by Gulf Times. The award-giving body takes a global lead by inspiring world-class competition and acknowledging the efforts of travel companies and institutions. Recipients of World Travel Awards are considered to be the most influential in their league when it comes to providing the best amenities and service to their customers.

This year, Harbour Village Beach Club won over four other Bonaire dive hotels: Bellavonte Chateau de la Mer, Caribbean Club Bonaire, Kon Tiki Beach Club, and Plaza Resort. Aside from winning the title of 2010 Bonaire's Leading Hotel, it was also nominated in the 2010 Caribbean's Leading Resort category.
