Take an excursion to Jaragua National Park and visit the lagoons and pre-historic caves at the Bay of Eagles. The area is also a bird-watcher’s paradise. Perfect for surfing, the Bahoruco Beach right in front of Casa Bonita Hotel, has some of the largest waves in the area. In the evening, dine in the restaurant and enjoy the catch of the day, brought in from Bahoruco, the tiny fishing village nearby.

Barahona, Dominican Republic. A 40-minute flight (220 kms ) from Santo Domingo Las Américas International Airport and a 30-minute 26 kms drive from Barahona Maria Montez Airport.
