Transportation

Airport transfers can be arranged with the hotel,where a chauffer drivem Mercedes or Volvo is sent to welcome and escort you to Thalassa.The cost one-way from PFO is Euros 52.00 and one-way from LCA is Euros 137.00
For suites with Butler Service,transfers are complimentary.Car rental companies are available at both airports or can be arranged by the Hotel.

  • Akamas Peninsular

    One of the most stunning,wild and uninhabitaed natural wildernesses in Cyprus.This protected area is a haven for flora and fauna with native flowers,birds,rare turtles and the occasional Monk Seal.

  • Paphos Mosaics

    This is the original 4th century AD site of Nea Pafos,the Roman capital of Cyprus.The houses are situated close together and given names according to the main themes of their mosaics,which depict scenes from Greek mythology and are considered masterpieces of mosaic art.These houses sucj as "The House of Dionysos","The House of Thesis","The House of Aion" and "The House of Orpheus" are believed to date to the 2nd half of the 2nd Century AD.

  • Paphos Bird Park

  • Tombs of the Kings

    This is a historic burial site containing stone tombs that were built during pre-Christian times.

  • Baths of Aphrodite

    A romantic side trip from Paphos is a visit to the natural grotto on the akamas Peninsular near Polis.Where legend has it that the Greek Goddess of Love,Aphrodite,used to take her baths.The serene pool,shaded by a fig tree and surrounded by beautiful examples of maindenhair ferns,can be reached by nature trails from Akamas.

  • Paphos Medieval Fort

    The fort was originally built by the Byzantines and rebuilt by the Lusignans in the 13th Century.Over the centuries the fort passed into the hand of the Venetians and was then partly destroyed in battle and surrendered to the Ottomans who later restored and strengthened it.

  • Paphos Harbour

    Paphos Harbour has served as a shelter for ships for over 2000 years. The walkway along the harbour leads to Papho's ancient fort with restaurants and tavernas where you can enjoy a cooling drink or a relaxing meal.Alternatively browse through the many gift shops or simply watch the sun set.

    Also known as "The church by St. Paul's Pillar".The remains of the original 4th Christian Basilica lies scattered in the grounds of this modern church and they provide rare examples of early Christian floor mosaics of biblical symbols.

  • Ayia Paraskevi Byzantine Church

    This 9th Century Church is famous for its 5 domes and home to one of the most important of iconoclastic architecture in Cyprus.Part od the UNESCO, World Cultural Heritage List.

  • Ayios Neophytos Monastery

    The monastery was founded at the end of the 12th century by Cypriot hermit and writer Neophytos.The "Egkleistra"an enclosed cave carved out of the mountain by the hermit,contains some amazing 12th and 15th centuray Byzantine wall fescos.The monastery church contains beautiful icons of the Post-Byzantine period of the 16th century.

  • Lara Bay

    Lara Bay and the Turtle hatchery are situated in the remote wilderness of the Akamas peninsular.Lara Bay offers empty sandy beaches,away from crowds.Uniquely for the Mediterranean,this isolated and deserted part of Cyprus attracts the Loggerhead and Green Turtles,which hatch their young on this beach.

  • Pegia Village

    To the north of Paphos in the hills above Coral Bay lies this village.At its heart lies the pictuesque cobbled square of the village and within it the "Pegeia Springs"of which many Cypriot folk songs have been written.Pegeia provides spactacular views of the Paphos coastline and surrounding hills.
