Restaurant Piano Nobile is opened seven days a week with a unique à la carte menu for hotel guests and also for the public. The original aristocratic cuisine of the Thurn-Taxis family, who lived at Chateau Mcely until 1947, represents a valuable heritage. In the summer months, guests have taken a fancy to having picnics in our English park. Our gastronomy offers may be complemented by our traditional Afternoon Tea. In the evening, you will certainly not be able to resist the temptation of alchemical elixirs or excellent wine in our Alchymist Club.

Spa
The themes of the chateau, park and spa are all interconnected. As soon as guests pass through the front gates, our intent is that they feel approached with love and attention. It is a place where guests are embraced by the positive energy of the magical St. George Forest and cared for by the healing touch and kind words of our therapists, who use only pure natural spa products from Mcely Bouquet collection in accordance with the forces of nature.
This pure natural and organic range of Mcely Bouquet cosmetic was developed by Chateau Mcely's owner, Inéz Cusumano, with the intention of sharing the alchemical and herbal heritage, and natural healing energy of this historic aristocratic chateau, located in the very heart of Bohemia.
Balms, oils, serums, bath salts and masks are prepared with a great love and respect from only the freshest purest ingrediens untreated in any manner with synthetic chemicals, in small controlled batches in the chateau's alchemical laboratory. To offer a healing experience on both the physical and emotional level, similar to that available to guests during their stay at Chateau Mcely, a range of Mcely Bouquet elixirs has been created for brief but effective rituals at home.
We have three spacious private treatment suites – named Honey, Silk, and Pearls. Each therapeutic suite provides a completely different environment and set of amenities, and therefore a completely unique experience. “Pearls” is appointed with our unique Onyx Steam Bath and Ice Fountain, a treatment suite especially focused on wet therapies. Our “Silk” suite is equipped with a special steam bed and is wonderful for wraps, facial care, manicures and pedicures. In the park, we have an all-wood hexagonal structure directly adjacent to our swimmable bio-lake. This structure houses our “Honey” therapeutic suite. Next to the decorative, elegant hexagonal building in a Russian banja, a simple, inconspicuous structure that houses a sauna with a fireplace and ecological heating, an external Jacuzzi and a swimming lake.
In the lower part of the park, we have a multifunctional sports ground (tennis, volley ball, basketball, etc.); a children’s playground and cottage in place of the former Thurn-Taxis children’s cottage; a drinking fountain in place of the former Chateau drinking fountain; as well as a garden area with a small herbal garden, fruit trees and decorative greenery. All of these “attractions” are interconnected by paths. Rest areas and other small surprises appear throughout the park.

Caring Luxury
Chateau Mcely was recognized by the prestigious 2008 World Travel Awards in the Green Hotel category as The World's Leading Green Hotel. Prior to this award, Chateau Mcely was designated the first Five-Star “Green” and Eco Chic Hotel in the Czech Republic, and only the second one in the entire EU.
The idea of working with “green principles,” i.e. those which give maximum consideration to the environment, has been supported from the very beginning by the current co-owner of the hotel, Dr. James Cusumano, who for a long time has been engaged in the issue of environmental protection and other worldwide problems (global warming, dependence on oil). His wife and business partner, Inez Cusumano adds, smiling, that she supports the “worldwide” effort of her husband “locally” by caring for all details, right up to a welcome cup of tea prepared exclusively from local herbs and served to all guests.
