Top 3 reasons to stay at the hotel:
-
A fantastic location in a fantastic city. Le Bellechasse is located on a quiet street and within one minute's walk from the Musee d'Orsay, the Seine, a Metro station, and one of the best boulangeries in the city. The area is beautiful and quiet, but a mere five or ten minute walk will place you in the heart of the Left Bank and in the center of the one of the city's most chic shopping and dining areas.
2) The forward-thinking.
-
The forward-thinking design. The rooms, designed by the inimitable Christian Lacroix, are a welcome change from the minimalist and the cookie-cutter. Although not for the traditionalist or the retiring, the rooms are tastefully adorned in wallpaper printed with oversize graphics, extravagant materials, and beautiful custom details that amount to a distinctive environment that sets Le Bellechasse apart.
-
Compact but efficient and comfortable rooms. The rooms are compact, as are many in Paris, but the hotel design team has taken great pains to make the best use of every inch of space that makes the rooms seem much larger than they are. And the beds and bed linens are some of the best that I've experienced, making for a wonderful night's sleep in a cosy yet stylish environment.
Overview:
We were a family of four arriving in the evening and the receptionist greeted us warmly upon check-in, acknowledging us warmly as SLH members, and providing a complimentary upgrade as a result. We were worried to find that the hotel did not have a record of one of the two rooms that we had booked, but the receptionist immediately took charge of the situation and assured us that she would move other incoming guests so that we would have two rooms in close proximity. From that point onwards, our stay was a true pleasure due to the fantastic location of the hotel, which is within walking distance of many good boulangeries and restaurants, the Seine, some of the major museums, and great shopping streets, the daring décor, the extremely comfortable beds, and the most generous breakfast that surpassed all expectations.
