The hotel is a discreet townhouse that is delightful; we arrived by car as we were en-route to Reims for a short break.
The location is very central and the streets are narrow but we easily found the hotel and once there, the staff took over the car with full valet parking in the underground garage which is excellent in a city centre location.
We were made to feel very welcome and your immediate first impression is how calm and quiet the hotel is despite being busy with guests. We were really lucky with the weather and it is definitely Paris in springtime and our room overlooks the gardens – again so lovely to find in the centre of Paris. The rooms are very elegantly designed and although ours was a little compact it was very comfortable, bright and with high standards of housekeeping. The rooms on the ground floor overlooking the gardens have the added value of breakfast on their terrace if you wish and most did given the beautiful weather we were enjoying. The lounge is large and very comfortable – a great place to relax and unwind and have a drink from the honesty bar. All the staff are eager to please and the concierge knowledgeable and very friendly and helpful.
The small Spa in the old vaults is well equipped and again so far from the hustle and bustle of the city, it’s worth taking time out to sample the treatments and totally relax.
Breakfast is taken in the old vaults dining room which has a good atmosphere and has a very good range of dishes on the buffet which is constantly replenished. This was a very relaxed meal, there was no rush and the staff were quietly efficient and got on with the job. There is also an extensive room service menu to have throughout your stay.
As said this is a total ‘Little Gem’ and I am sure like many others we will go back for many more visits.
