Originally, the manor house of the prestigious Bassermann-Jordan wine estate in Deidesheim, Ketschauer Hof is a real find on the German wine route. Our gourmet restaurant Freundstück (1 star Michelin) and our wine bistro Bassermännchen are a treat for all your senses. The culinary delights are created by our chef Jens Fischer. He cleverly combines the modern, precise style of his creations with international aromas. The property has both a contemplative and inspiring atmosphere. The restaurant in particular impresses with its purist elegance which is complemented by the attention to detail. ‘Feinschmecker’ cites Freundstück as one of the ten most attractive restaurants in Germany.
The restaurant combines details of old architecture with timeless modern interiors. Large glass fronts impart a conservatory feeling and afford diners a view of the park. Our wine bistro Bassermaennchen offers an alternative to the classic restaurant Freundstueck.
