Things to do

Vogtsburg-Oberbergen is located in Bädem-Württemberg – a region with a striking volcanic landscape and surprisingly warm climate. Just outside the village is Badberg Hill, known for its rare green lizards and beautiful orchids. Further afield is the eastern edge of the Black Forest, with plenty of walking trails to explore.

While in Vogtsburg, treat yourself to a day out at the ancient spa town of Badenweiler. While away the time in natural thermal pools overlooking parkland and Roman ruins. Or if you feel like an active adventure, visit Wutachschlucht Gorge in the eastern Black Forest, a popular hiking spot.

Vogtsburg is part of the biggest wine-growing district in southern Germany, thanks to its warm, almost Mediterranean climate. Many local estates host tasting events where you can try a whole range of locally produced wines. And to top it off, there’s many fine restaurants including Michelin starred establishments serving French-inspired and local Bädem cuisine.

Take a private hiking tour for an insider’s view of the beautiful Kaiserstuhl mountains. Perfect for an expert guide to the region’s rare flora and fauna.
