Things to do
With its white Cycladic architecture, and historic cave houses carved into the rock, Imerovigli captures the timeless appeal of a traditional Santorini village. Pack your camera and seek out the iconic blue domed churches, with their archways framing picture-postcard views.
Crystal clear waters. Endless blue skies. The sheltered bay beneath Imerovigli is enough to tempt even the most dedicated sunbathers away from their loungers. Swap the poolside for the deck of a private yacht, and spend the day diving, swimming, or sailing up the coast.
Just off the coast from Imerovigli lies Skaros Rock. This picturesque outcrop is crowned by the ruins of a Venetian fortress, which once guarded the island from pirate raids. Take a boat tour out to Skaros, and walk up to the chapel on the north side – the views of the caldera are well worth the climb.
