The location can't be beat.
It is a short walk into Old Rhodes town. Expect feeling very comfortable with access to great amenities like wi-fi, spa and gym. The food was excellent and the breakfast by the pool was most pleasant.
Upon pulling up to
Rodos Park Suites & Spa Hotel we were met at the taxi with a warm welcome as the luggage porter took care of our bags. The second we entered the entrance the receptionist gave us a big, energetic good afternoon – addressing me by name without even having to introduce myself. During check-in we were informed about all of the many bonuses we were receiving as SLH Club guests, including: room upgrade to a suite, discounts at the spa and Galaxy Lounge, and a free newspaper service.
After checking out the room we changed into our suits and lounged by the pool for a few hours and grabbed some lunch. Having fully recovered from the bumpy flight from Santorini we changed again and set-out to explore the medieval city of Rodos and the port. After walking through the cobblestone streets all afternoon we were grateful to be returning to a hotel with a full service spa located on the premises. The deep tissue massage from Jackie was bliss (probably one of the best massages I have ever had).
To cap-off our first day in town, the concierge booked us in the best table at Romio. This restaurant was exactly what we were looking for (nothing to ‘rich, heavy or formal’ after having had several big meals in Santorini). The staff at Romio delivered on friendly service (not the usual pushy touristy stuff) in a unique space (think dining inside an ornate bird cage), with some delicious food.
The second night we decided to check out the Café Brasserie for something more elegant and romantic. We had a great table poolside for just the two of us. To end the day, and our last night at Rodos Park Suites & Spa we went to the Galaxy Lounge for a nightcap while enjoying the views over the medieval city.
