About the club

Located on Santorini’s south coast, Vlychada is home to one of the island’s finest beaches. This long stretch of soft sand is fringed by volcanic rocks and crystal-clear waters. For sun seekers, it’s pure bliss: laid-back loungers, a stylish beach bar, and – at the nearby boutique hotel – a world-class spa. If you’re feeling more adventurous, hop aboard a yacht and explore hidden coves. Or head inland to the Bronze Age settlement of Akrotiri.

A surreal yet spectacular setting of sculptural cliffs, dark sands and calm, turquoise seas

Things to do

Vlychada is one of Greece’s most beautiful and bizarre beaches. This long, smooth stretch of sand is overlooked by strange rock formations, shaped by the wind and sea to create a stunning lunar landscape. As one of the island’s largest – and quietest – beaches, you can often find a secluded spot in even the busiest months.

Set just back from the beach, carved into the volcanic rock, you’ll find one of the best natural thermae spas in Greece. Using natural spring waters, warm mud, island honey and hot stones, the expert therapists promise to soothe and energise mind and body.

Vlychada is a world away from Greece’s busy, bustling beach resorts. Here, the nightlife is decidedly low-key with palm trees, flickering candles, chilled-out music and superb cocktails. Dine on fresh seafood in the Mediterranean restaurant. Then spot shooting stars as you kick back in the pool bar.

For something completely out of the ordinary, pop in to the Tomato Industrial Museum – an old canning factory turned quirky exhibition space
