Top 3 reasons to stay at the hotel:
-
If you love stylish homes (think Kelly Hoppen), you’ll love Townhouse 31. Lovely attention to detail from the décor - gorgeous exotic artifacts in the ‘living room’ (and did I mention a beautiful garden terrace too?) including a pair of Mexican carved wooden doors which now become two coffee tables, to the guest experience (don’t be afraid to order ‘room service’ on a lazy evening and you won’t be disappointed). Townhouse 31 is an exercise in great taste and pure chic! Very stylish property!

I’ve stayed at several grand period hotels in Milan before when on business, and Townhouse 31 is just so different – its residential area location, coupled by the set-up of the hotel (like the communal breakfast table) make the whole experience like staying at a very chic friend’s own house. I’m not surprised at all that it is attracting a very fashionable crowd there. The area also has a couple of good seafood restaurants and the whole experience is just very intimate!

You know you will get very well looked after by the staff at Townhouse 31. Its employees are its real assets – very warm and friendly, like your friends who opened up their apartment for you to stay at while in Milan! Great restaurant and sightseeing tips too!
Overview:
We stayed two nights at Townhouse 31 and we love it – the décor, the warmth of its staff, and I’m not surprised that it seems attracting brisk business as well as a stylish crowd. Its staff there is knowledgeable and helpful – the lady insisted I should visit Como for my day’s venture outside the city and I wasn’t disappointed. The seafood restaurant they recommended was great, and I was most positively surprised that evening when I decided to eat in and the hotel ordered take-out food for me (it has a limited kitchen) which was not just great food but also presented in beautiful flatware and crockery, accompanied by a great bread basket from the hotel’s own small kitchen! That certainly was not eating take-out food from a box and these little things show how meticulously the hotel wants the guest experience to be beautiful. Kudos to the team and please send my regards to the Filipino gentlemen there, who is not only extremely helpful but we also had a great chat about the cities he lived in before Milan! Despite the location which is further away from the sightseeing and shopping, this is the property I’d love to return to when I next visit Milan!
