With Villa di Monte Solare sitting close to the top of its hill in beautiful rolling Umbrian countryside, the swifts darting overhead, and the warmth of early summer on this Englishman’s back, what could be wrong with the world? This property presents luxury with excellent service in the most peaceful of surroundings.
Although this is a classic Small Luxury Hotel, so extensive is the estate that one can find peace and seclusion with ease, whether by one of the two pools, on the terrace, by the tennis court or strolling on the paths through the trees.
Rosi is definitely the hostess, but in a very well balanced manner, neither standoffish nor cramping in style. She is well served by excellent staff, a spotless establishment and the choice of some excellent food and wine.
I felt welcome from the moment I arrived. The front desk staff were amazing. The food was among the best I've eaten in Italy. I can't say enough wonderful things about your hotel and have every intention of returning again and again
