The Inn at the Roman Forum

City centre location, surrounded by history, archaeology and shopping

A calm and elegant oasis amidst the bustling streets of Italy’s dynamic capital, The Inn at the Roman Forum is a restful hideaway with an intriguing ancient Roman frescoed underground passageway in the cellars. Close to the Roman Forum and just five minutes from the Colosseum, it has lovely views of Capitoline Hill, a roof terrace and an ambient lounge.

Both unusual and delightful, it is perhaps the combination of its ancient remains, contemporary styled rooms and exemplary service that makes The Inn at the Roman Forum so beguiling. The rooms are spacious with canopied beds with the two top floor suites benefiting from a private patio.

Climb the marble staircase up four floors to the shady rooftop terrace and pass some time absorbing the city views before spending the day sightseeing. Return to The Inn at the Roman Forum for cocktails in the lounge before viewing the mysterious stone gallery of the Cryptoporticus in the cellars.

The only luxury hotel in Rome that can boast the presence of a piece of the Roman Forum on the premises, rooftop terrace and pleasant gardens

Services

The Inn at the Roman Forum, despite its historic significance, is appointed strictly for 21st-century indulgence and provides every luxurious amenity. The 13 rooms and two suites are classically designed and built on three floors with the topmost offering a lounge and terrace where breakfast is served and from which you get an exclusive panorama over the cupolas and tiled roofs to the Palatine, home of Emperors. The final surprise is the three back bedrooms, on the terrace, that open out onto a small garden of fig trees and palms. Delightful!
