A unique interactive art hotel in which the guests participate in the creation of the art, Blow Up Hall Hotel is centered around a fascinating video installation by artist Rafael Lozano-Hemmer. With 22 suites, a bar, a superb restaurant and an interesting collection of contemporary works of art by other artists, this is one of the most intriguing places to stay in Poznan.
There is no reception and no numbers on , Blow Up Hall Hotel’s individually-designed room doors. Guests receive an iPhone to open their door by recognition technology. In the lobby is Lozano-Hemmer’s large high-resolution screen that fragments footage of guests into 2400 tiny images reassembling them into one distorted image. The piece is entitled ‘Blow Up 9’ after Michelangelo Anttonioni’s 1966 cult film.
Step outside Blow Up Hall into Stary Browar 5050, an impressive mall with a wide selection of boutiques, cafes and restaurants. Just a five-minute walk and you are in Poznan’s Old Market Square with its 15th-century City Hall and bordered by cafes and restaurants.

Opened in March 2009, Blow Up Hall is an interactive work of
art with 22 luxurious rooms, a Bar and a two restaurants, all offering a combination
of luxury, high tech, the finest design and personal artistic experimentation.
Our 24h concierge of highest quality personalized service takes care of each
guest from the moment of the reservation throughout the stay. Instead of a key,
each guest is given an iPhone that opens their bedroom door through IT
recognition technology. In the evening one can relax in the steam room or enjoy
a massage.The prestigious restaurant is serving traditional Polish cuisine with
a modern twist.
