There are sun terraces, swimming pools, a croquet lawn, fountains, a walled garden, a welcoming bar with a eucalyptus pole ceiling, and everywhere the scent of oleander and honeysuckle. But, above all, perhaps, one unusual detail epitomises the Monte do Casal: every morning your personal maid will, without waking you or entering your room, set breakfast for you on your private terrace. Although the hotel is small with only nineteen bedrooms, yet the award winning restaurant provides a choice of menus that will exceed your highest expectations. Outstanding quality and choice of dishes, genuinely warm friendly service and professionalism reflected in the attention to detail.. The A la Carte and Menu Dégustation offers Modern Cuisine with House Specialities. French based, influenced by Portuguese and Thai cuisine. There is also a Vegetarian menu available.. During the warmer months, enjoy the beautiful restaurant terrace for lunch or dinner al fresco with its gentle trickling fountain, set under the double pergola with flowering hanging baskets, overlooking the underwater lit pool, surrounded by palm trees, bougainvillea, oleander and honeysuckle.. The Sanctuary Spa is located over the Spa Lake offering a haven of tranquility and inner peace.
The Spa features one Relaxation room, three Treatment rooms by the spa lake including one couple Suite. There is also the Sanctuary Gazebo for treatments on the Pine Lake.
The facilities include a private Hammam and a private Sauna, a Jacuzzi and a heated swimming pool.
