Hartwell House Hotel
Stately home in 90 acres of private parkland
A Grade I listed Jacobean and Georgian stately home, Hartwell House Hotel sits in 90 acres of landscaped parkland with sweeping lawns and woodland. With a wealth of architectural features that include magnificent rooms with high ceilings and large windows offering panoramic country views, the house’s secluded rural setting masks its convenient distance from London.
Elegance abounds in the space and décor of Hartwell House Hotel’s public rooms with decorative plasterwork, wood panelling and marble fireplaces. Carved Jacobean figures line the staircase that leads to beautifully decorated rooms and suites adorned with original paintings and antiques.
Fruit from the orchards, and fresh herbs and vegetables from the garden, are served in the main dining room. Try the six-course tasting menu for the ultimate dining experience. Nearby, Waddesdon Manor, home of the Rothschild family, is well worth a visit before returning to Hartwell House Hotel for some pampering in the spa.
