Top 3 reasons to stay at the hotel:
-
The beautiful gardens, including stunning water gardens. Ideal for a gentle stroll before a traditional English afternoon tea in one of the lovely lounges.
-
Service is incredibly friendly but not intrusive. The staff are charming and really make you feel like they care.
-
The terrace is a real sun-trap and is positioned so that you can look out over what must be the longest vista in Hampshire. On the adjoining lawn it is possible to play croquet. What could be better than enjoying a glass of Pimms on a glorious English summer afternoon whilst listening to the sound of mallets hitting balls?!
Overview:
Tylney hall is a sprawling Victorian country house set amidst acres of beautiful Hampshire countryside, thus providing a tranquil respite from the busy day-to-day bustle of everyday life
We enjoyed a thoroughly relaxing weekend strolling around the gardens, playing croquet on the lawn and indulging in relaxing spa treatments.
Despite our general sloth like behavior we still managed to build up an appetite to enjoy traditional afternoon tea (always a treat and oh-so civilised) and a formal dinner in the Oak Room which has an impressive and extensive wine list.
After all this “activity” we were grateful to return to our very quiet room and, after nibbling on some delicious chocolates that had been thoughtfully left for us at turn-down, slip between the crisp sheets of our very comfortable bed for a peaceful slumber only woken the next morning by the sound of birds chirping and the gentle knock of room-service bringing us fresh juice and coffee.
