Adam Simmonds, Executive Chef at Marlow’s Danesfield House Hotel & Spa has just been named UK Hotel Chef of the Year 2011 by the Hotel Cateys at their prestigious award ceremony in London.

The Hotel Cateys - the Oscars of the catering industry - were created to recognise and applaud the people and teams that work tirelessly in some of the country’s best hotels and the annual award ceremony, held in the heart of West London, has become a highlight of the hospitality industry.

This is the latest in a series of culinary accolades for Adam Simmonds, who was awarded a prestigious Michelin Star for the second year this year and whose restaurant has been awarded four AA Rosettes four years running.

The title, UK Hotel Chef of The Year, only confirms Simmonds’ status as a leading member of Marlow’s cooking elite, joining fellow world-class chefs, Heston Blumenthal and Tom Kerridge.

Tipped by The Good Food Guide as one of the top chefs to watch this decade, Simmonds continues to go from strength to strength.

On receiving his award, Simmonds said: ‘It’s always fantastic to be recognised by your peers and I’m thankful to my fantastic team and their continued hard work.’

Adam Simmonds at Danesfield House retains Michelin Star in the Michelin Guide Great Britain and Ireland 2012 for the second year running

Adam Simmonds at Danesfield House in Marlow has secured a prestigious
place in the 2012 edition of culinary bible, The Good Food Guide.
The Marlow-based restaurant has now stormed up the list to Twelfth best in the
United Kingdom.
Adam Simmonds is already among the Guide’s top ten chefs to watch and tipped
as one of the few who could ‘dominate’ the restaurant scene in the next decade.
Consultant Editor of The Good Food Guide 2012, Elizabeth Carter says of
Simmonds: ‘This is astonishing cooking from a very talented chef. Adam
Simmonds has discovered real impetus and direction in the last couple of years,
and he is now one of the top players on the UK restaurant scene.’

The Michelin starred restaurant, Adam Simmonds at Danesfield House, has been awarded four AA Red Rosettes for culinary excellence by the AA 2012.

Michelin UK announced on 18th January that Adam Simmonds at Danesfield House has been awarded a Michelin star in the 2011 edition of the Great Britain & Ireland Guide.

Danesfield Spa has been awarded the Most Relaxing Spa UK 2011 by the Natural Health Magazine Spa Awards
