Top 3 reasons to stay at the hotel:
-
The pleasant and welcoming staff.
-
The location; although the hotel does not have a restaurant, its location allows a wider range of choice very close by.
-
Comfortable rooms with modern furnishing with all facilities needed.
Overview:
As I drove past Sheffields "dark satanic mills" after a long and eventful drive I wondered what a "boutique hotel" in the city centre would be like. I had nothing to fear! A perfectly pleasant hotel in a pleasant part of Sheffield...
I was met by extremely friendly staff who could not do enough to help me with my luggage and showing me to my room.
A beautiful, if functional room with every conceivable need taken care of. All the furnishings and fittings were very modern and worked well in the overall design.
Once I had mastered using the computer in the room (it uses the key pad, television screen and TV remote) I spent some time catching up with my emails.
The hotel has been converted from a boys grammar school and it is obvious that in doing so no expense has been spared.
Although the hotel does not have a formal dining room for evening meals it overlooks a square at the back which has numerous eating places. I chose the Indian restaurant, which serves excellent food.
In spite of being in the city centre I experienced no street noise and had a restful night’s sleep.
A thoroughly enjoyable stay!
