Top 3 reasons to stay at the hotel:

  1. Location – oasis of calm in a very busy city close to Downtown and Airport but giving the impression of a Country Retreat. The setting within a green park, the polo grounds,  is relaxing and welcoming.

  2. Building – it is uncomplicated, comfortable and elegant with soft restful lighting and furnishings that do not overpower, but feel welcoming. The individual rooms are large, with at least  45 sq. meters for the bedroom area and well furnished and supplied bathroom and toilet area.

  3. Food & Service – the service is unobtrusive and friendly; the food is excellent with 2 delightful dining areas, inside when air conditioning is needed and beautiful terrace overlooking the polo ground for “ al fresco “ dining ( can be heated by gas lamps if necessary ).

Overview:

A possible bonus would be an exciting polo match with good views from the terrace or bedroom balcony.

  1. Modern facilities: Set amongst lush landscaped surrounds, green polo fields and palm trees it has 24 modern suites and villas. Very elegant and distinctive architecture. High tech luxuries and designer amenities. Well appointed hotel with quality facilities (spa, pool, bar etc). The lead-in category Palm Suites have excellent in room facilities eg quality B&O sound system, wide range of music on i-pod provided, digital TV, remote controlled curtains, internet access, generous in size, large bath area etc..

  2. Great Location: Unique property that offers a sanctuary from Dubai's high rise jungle; situated in the desert but not too far from the airport & Dubai central business district via car transfer. The hotel is adjacent to Polo horse grounds/club/stables and premium pool residential villas. There is a lovely view from the “Rare” restaurant terrace / bar area over the Polo grounds back to the bright night lights of the Dubai’s skyline.

  3. High standard of food: the service, wine & dinner menu options at “Rare” was excellent including premium imported produce. Choice of indoor (air con) or outdoor dining on the terrace is a highlight savouring the views or watching a polo match.

I loved the layout of the suites. They were also very spacious and equipped with the latest technology. Dinner at rare was exquisite. The service of staff was excellent which made the whole stay absolutely worth-while.
