An imposing 14th century ivy-clad hideaway with 21st century comforts in one of the Cotswolds’ prettiest villages. The Manor House Hotel is set in 365 acres of beautiful wooded parkland with a Peter Alliss-designed golf course, Italian gardens, lawns that sweep down to the river and a wonderful Michelin-starred restaurant, Bybrook.

You can choose to stay in the grand house or in a delightful Grade II listed mews cottage. Either way, you can lose yourself in a maze of spacious rooms and cosy hidey-holes, curl up by a roaring fire or enjoy a decadent cream tea on a pretty sunshine terrace.

The beautiful grounds make it ideal for playing croquet, trying your hand at archery, trout fishing or perhaps riding in the park. If you are an avid golfer, you should not miss the challenging course with its waterfall on the 18th hole. Shopping and walking tours of nearby Bath are easily organised.
