The Naumi is absolutely the right choice for those visitors to the Garden City State looking for somewhere a little more individual to stay than those large faceless chain hotels.
At 40 rooms and suites The Naumi is still small enough to ensure that guests feel they are coming home after a busy day of sightseeing or business meetings, and will be greeted by name as they walk through the front door.
We found this small stylish hotel friendly in the extreme with the young staff working hard to make our stay comfortable and memorable. Multi-tasking is taken to a new level - the same guy who collected our bags from the taxi later delivered room service and then mixed our cocktails in the evening!
The rooms and suites are spacious. We booked a basic 32 sq ft Premium Room but were upgraded to an 83 sq ft Luxury Suite on the strength of our SLH Honoured Guest status……. and did we stay in style! A huge lounge, kitchenette, two massive LCD TV’s, DVD player, IPod dock, freestanding bath with separate shower and steam room - our expectations were significantly exceeded. The Nespresso coffee machine was a very nice touch once and made great coffee once we’d worked out how to use it!
The hotel has limited leisure facilities given its size, but the roof top infinity pool is refreshing after a hot day’s sightseeing and has a splendid view over the rooftops of the city. A small weights room, yoga studio and cardio room complete the fitness facilities.
There is no fine dining restaurant at the Naumi but given its location any guest would be spoiled for choice when it comes to dining opportunities in downtown Singapore. The buffet breakfast served in the ground floor lobby lounge/bar area is extensive with plenty of healthy options. There is also a varied menu for light meals and snacks which can be ordered throughout the day. The hotel is known for its stylish bar and comprehensive drinks menu and really comes into its own after dark.
In summary, The Naumi is a great place to stay when visiting Singapore and we shall certainly look forward to coming back here next time we visit the city.
