Prior bookings essential-due to bio-dynamic, free range and organic produce. Indulgence and convenience-experience private in-room dining. Renowned and acclaimed for showcasing fine innovative organic cuisine a 4 course multiple-choice menu, using the best of local fresh produce is served course by course, individually to suites at guest’s preferred time (AUD 120.00 per person). The elegant and ornate candlelit dining room is available by prior special request (AUD 50 surcharge applicable). Maximum of five people accepted as a group booking. All rooms/suites have formal antique tables and chairs for totally private dining. Rare 18th/19th Century European antique sterling silver pieces feature in dinner place settings. Light tasty cuisine with a bountiful variety of Organic and Bio-dynamic products. The focus is on the freshest possible ingredients with many salad and vegetable varieties and fruits from the garden. Herbs are from the Manor’s organic kitchen garden. Eggs are farm fresh from our own free-range hens. South Australian seafood is a speciality. Thorngrove promotes healthy eating and lifestyle choices. BYO is welcome, but Thorngrove does not sell alcoholic beverages. The Thorngrove kitchen has a "you are what you eat" philosophy, with ingredients being individually flavoursome, and natural, and with produce identifiable on the plate. In-house spa treatment with visiting practitioners from Desertpea-Native Australian Skin care; beauty and harmony from the finest Australian botanical extracts, essential oils, bush honey and clay. 100% natural and organic product -no chemicals or emulsifiers.
Spa services include massage, facials, body treatments, manicures, pedicure etc. 1.5 hour minimum $125.00 per hour. Prior booking req 7 days before arrival to ensure availabilty. Not available Christmas New Year holiday period.

"A breath of fresh air" : As part of our health and environmental quality assurance program Thorngrove is a non-smoking hotel. Washing is naturally air dried outside in the sunshine when seasonally possible. Non toxic/ only natural herbal based cleaning agents are used. Natural handmade soaps and organic shampoo are provided as well as Crabtree & Evelyn amenities, providing an ethical and healthy alternative. Natural fibre bedding;Egyptian cotton, mohair and alpaca and naturalflooring materials.
As part of our environmental focus, all mains water is treated and recycled for use on the gardens.
Cardboard, paper and glass are recycled. Corks go to the Girl Guides, linen, blankets, furniture and appliances to local charities. The garden is organically maintained with no sprays or drifting chemical residue. Produced used is organic or bio-dynamic where possible.
Limited guest numbers lessen the local environmental footprint, Rather than an artificial tourist enclave, Thorngrove is part of a vibrant local village community.
