We've stayed at many five-star hotels over the years and I can say without hesitation that this ranks as one of the best in Europe. The building is a superb example of a former English stately home and retains its grandeur.

Beautifully appointed castle with attentive staff & glorious grounds. The walks around Dartmoor are mystical, particularly in the fog. Tasty choices of game on the menu of The Edwardian Grill. Falconry display in the morning was for me the topper.

Love this place so much, especially at Christmas and new year. Recommend Bovey Castle for couples and families especially with children. great place to relax and play a bit of golf.
