Directions

Pädaste Manor is located on Muhu Island in the Baltic Sea just off the coast of Western Estonia. Muhu Island is a comfortable 2-hour drive by rental car, taxi, limousine or public transport to the south-west of the capital Tallinn and a four hour drive from Riga, the capital of Latvia.. From Tallinn take the E67 towards Riga, after 15 km follow the sign to Virtsu and turn left onto road number 9. Continue until Risti, there turn left onto road number 10. Continue until you have reached Virtsu where you will take the ferry to Muhu Island. After having crossed the small straits with the ferry from Virtsu to Kuivastu, turn left as indicated after 1.3 km, a 5 km drive will then take you to Pädaste Manor.. The time zone at Pädaste Manor is one hour ahead of Central European Time.


Transportation

Tallinn Airport is daily connected to most Scandinavian and Baltic cities as well as to London, Paris, Berlin, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Prague, Vienna, Moscow and Milan. The local Kuressaare Airport at a 45 minutes drive has connections to Stockholm and Hesinki and accommodates private planes. Helicopter charters directly to Pädaste can be arranged for, including on-site customs clearance.. Transfers available by limousine from Tallinn or Riga (charge).. Pädaste Manor on Muhu Island in Estonia is an hour and a half by car from Estonia's capital, Tallinn followed by a 30-minute ferry crossing - 38 minutes by helicopter. Muhu Island is an unspoiled gem alive with meadows, juniper forests and working remote farms. On the northern shore there are caves to explore, the 13th-century St Catherine's Church and ancient Koguva fishing village. Saaremaa is Muhu's connected sister island and enjoys the same sense of nature-at-its-best as Muhu. For an excursion further afield, Riga, Latvia's capital is only two and a half hours by car, followed by a 30-minute ferry crossing.
