The Luxe Manor rounds off 2011 by winning the coveted China Best Design Hotel Awards

Currently celebrating its fifth birthday, The Luxe Manor remains Asia’s only surrealist-themed boutique hotel. Its uniquely designed rooms and themed suites continue to be hugely popular with not only guests but also industry peers. Among the latter category were the judges at the 2011 China Best Design Hotel Awards who recently honoured The Luxe Manor in the Best Design of Guest Room category. The hangout of choice for discerning music lovers and cocktail fans, the hotel’s signature Dada Bar + Lounge was also nominated in the Awards’ Best Design of Restaurant / Bar category.

Why the China Best Design Hotel Awards is so highly prized
Although only in their third year, the China Best Design Hotel Awards is already a benchmark of the most extraordinarily striking hotels in Greater China. Hosted by China’s leading lifestyle publication, The Bund magazine, the award reflects the views of a discerning, dynamic readership made up of frequent travelers and business leaders. In sourcing nominations for the 2011 Awards, The Bund joined forces with several internationally renowned international hospitality industry leaders such as Design Hotels, Small Luxury Hotels of the World, Leading Hotels of the World plus various sound media. What made the 2011 Awards even more special was the fact The Bund invited readers and members of the public to help choosing the winners in each category.

“A meaningful win of a very prestigious award”
This year’s Award was presented at a ceremony held in conjunction with the 2011 International Design Hotel Forum at Shanghai’s The Peninsula Hotel on 9 December. In all, some 250 distinguished guests including hotel owners and general managers attended the event.

Said The Luxe Manor’s Hotel Manager, Ms. Angel Chan, “Our receipt of this very prestigious award has been made all the more meaningful by the fact that half of our score came from public votes and half from expert professional judges. Our win underlines the continuing popularity of our hotel’s 153 delightfully quirky rooms and 6 elegantly grand and mysterious themed suites among both discerning travelers and industry peers. Spanning everything from a cool blue Nordic setting to a warm luxury Middle Eastern Safari ambience, our suites are an experience that all guests who stay there want to repeat”.

An award-winning end to an award-winning year
The receipt of its most recent regional award brings to four in the total number of coveted local and international accolades The Luxe Manor has won during 2011: The others include the 2011 World Luxury Hotel Awards – Luxury Boutique Hotel, 22nd TTG Travel Awards 2011 - The Best Boutique Hotel and Wedding Magazine 2011 – Superb Wedding Banquet (Hotel) Best Western.

The Luxe Manor takes top honours at Two International Awards for the second successive year

Asia’s only surrealist inspired luxury boutique hotel, The Luxe Manor, has long been acclaimed by not only its growing army of discerning guests, but also admiring hospitality industry peers. A fact that is more than borne out by the hotel’s recent receipt of second successive Luxury Boutique Hotel and The Best Boutique Hotel titles at the prestigious World Luxury Hotel Awards and TTG Asia Travel Awards respectively.

A doubly extraordinary achievement
A universally recognized and much coveted benchmark for the international hospitality industry since 2007, the World Luxury Hotel Awards continue to be a magnet for the world’s top hoteliers. And held in Zagreb, Croatia on 16 September 2011, the organizer’s fifth awards ceremony this year was no exception. Now in their 22nd year, the Annual TTG Asia Travel Awards are equally revered by hospitality industry professionals. Those in attendance at this year’s TTG Travel presentation at Bangkok’s renowned Centara Grand & Bangkok Conventions Centre on 6 October 2011 included GR8 Leisure Concept’s Group General Manager, Mr. George Wang and Regional Director of Communications - Hotel Division, Ms. Barbie Chan.

“The award that matters most is a guest’s satisfied smile!”
Said delighted Mr. Wang after going on stage to collect the TTG Asia Travel Award, “To win one of these two amazing awards is considered to be outstanding. To win both is simply incredible. To do so two years in a row is simply out of this world. On behalf of The Luxe Manor, we would like to thank the many colleagues and guests without whose hard work and loyalty we could never have won any of these four accolades”.

GR8 Leisure Concept’s Regional Director of Communications - Hotel Division, Ms. Barbie Chan echoed Mr. Wang’s gratitude. “We are so excited to have been honoured with these two coveted awards for a second consecutive year. The recent successful launch of our pioneering TOUCH program has undoubtedly played a role in our success. We thank everyone who played a part in winning each of these awards. At the end of the day, we never forget that the award that matters most is a guest’s satisfied smile. To this end, eagerly anticipate continuing to be our first time and repeated guests’ hospitality partner of choice for many years to come”.

The Luxe Manor has been honoured with 2012 International Hotel Awards Asia Pacific

Asia’s leading surrealism-inspired boutique hotel, The Luxe Manor, has recently celebrated its 5th Anniversary in typically off-kilter style. Making the party all the more unforgettable is the fact that the hotel has just been informed that it has earned a coveted 2012 International Hotel Awards Asia Pacific – Highly Commended Hotel in Hong Kong, Best Hotel Category. The win brings to the number of 18 prestigious local and international accolades The Luxe Manor has won since welcoming its first guest in 2006. The award presentation ceremony took place in Kuala Lumpur on 27 April 2012.

A truly coveted benchmark in pan-Asian hospitality
The International Hotel Awards are operated by the International Property Awards which have been established for 18 years. This year, the award associates with HSBC and International Herald Tribune. It aims to identify and reward the best hotels and properties from each region worldwide. As one of the top scorers from Asia Pacific, The Luxe Manor will now go head to head against winning properties from Europe, Africa, the Americas and Arabia. The overall winner in each category will then be rated ‘World’s Best’. The long awaited final results of 2012’s fascinating global face-off will be revealed in London at the end of this year.

Said Stuart Shield, President of International Hotel Awards: “We are delighted to go into the second year of our stand-alone Hotel Awards contest with such a superb depth and breadth of entries from across Asia Pacific. I cannot wait to see how the region’s best properties measure up against top global competitors in our ‘World’s Best’ Awards.”

“Happy guests are the most important award of them all!”
While obviously delighted to receive yet another award, Group General Manager, Mr George Wang, said he and his team have no plans to start resting on their laurels any time soon! “For us, repeat business and a full hotel are the awards we value most highly of all. To this end, we will continue to work hard to ensure our patrons enjoy the maximum benefits of the guest-centric TOUCH initiative we introduced last year.”

Regional Director of Communications - Hotel Division, Ms Barbie Chan echoed Mr Wang’s sentiment, “We would like to thank our staff and our guests without whom we could never have progress so far in such a prestigious contest. We hope we can make everyone associated with our property even more proud when the results of the “World’s Best” Awards are announced later this year!”
