Les 3 meilleures raisons de séjourner dans cet hôtel:

  1. Wonderful people: from the gardeners working on the gorgeous grounds to the driver who had driven the O’Haras to school from when they were children. Everyone stopped to greet you and make sure you were enjoying yourself. We got to know several of the dining staff and they all cared for us as they would for their own family. A member of the housekeeping staff brought us flowers when we admired them as she walked by our room – and this was the same caring reception we got from everyone. Most impressive! Patrick O’Hara himself drove us to our next accommodation – The Sandpiper (the sister hotel). And probably most amazing of all—by mistake I left a belonging at the hotel and it arrived at the Sandpiper in a small plastic bag with our name on it! Honest, caring staff and impeccable service.

  2. The little touches: Water sports such as windsurfing, motorboat rides and waterskiing were complimentary. All you needed to do was make an appointment. (We took advantage of the motor boat ride to see a bit more of the beautiful island of Barbados.)  Complimentary roundtrip transport from hotel to Bridgetown. Cute gift cottage on grounds of Coral Reef with quality gifts, clothing and books. Books in the rooms and no TVS—hooray! (TV’s were available on request or there is a TV lounge if needed). A soft steel band played every evening which created a great atmosphere.

  3. Food and atmosphere: The barbeque night was wonderful. No US style barbeque but fresh outdoor grilling with chicken, ribs, steak to order, and at least four kinds of fish including the Bajan specialties of flying fish and red snapper. Nice sides and desserts too but who could eat much more after such a wonderful spread? And to top it all off - soft, pleasant live Bajan music. Breakfast was in same pleasant semi-outdoor space. Great coffee and excellent hot buffet. Some of the crispest bacon ever!

One of our absolute favorite SLH experiences.

Beautiful facility, wonderful people, great food and drink. Rooms with terraces or porches, great pool and beach encircled by grounds worthy of a tropical botanical garden. Fish dishes that had great appeal to someone who doesn’t eat as much fish as she should…! Lovely guests - primarily Brits. And again  - caring staff. We met guests who had been returning for 30 years!  We would love to break their record!

Les 3 meilleures raisons de séjourner dans cet hôtel:

  1. This is a foodie place par excellence. The dishes on the dining room menu at night are imaginative and deliciously tasty. We ate at quite a number of places on Barbados and this ranked up at the top with the best. The live music also jazzed up the scene making the experience fun as well as a culinary thrill.

  2. It’s an intimate resort for people who like things low key and quiet. The beach is small but the rooms are ample and did I mention the food?

  3. You can walk easily into Holetown from here. We walked to the Tides another great restaurant on the island in about ten minutes. Shopping of all sorts is a stroll away – including The Gourmet Shop where you can buy excellent wines and high quality food products to take to your room should you wish to take advantage of the kitchen.

Aperçu :

This is a smaller family place with a tiny beach and two cute, dainty pools. Staff is ultra friendly, the internet works well, the gym has good equipment and overall the place runs like clockwork. It’s relaxed, intimate and since a good number of rooms have kitchens it’s possible to cook yourself or the kids a meal should the desire strike.
