Les 3 meilleures raisons de séjourner dans cet hôtel:
-
Spanish Charm, charm, charm!
-
Great central San Juan location near Cathedral and all the great restaurants of Fortaleeza Street.
-
Wonderful central courtyard for drinks with most pleasant servers and bartender.
Aperçu :
Colonial charm across from cathedral. At morning coffee on third floor terrace you could see the churchgoers and hear the Easter music. Lovely honor bar with snacks in evening from same terrace. Nice albeit small splash pool rooftop where you could see over old San Juan. Pleasant shaded terrace to read, drink, snack. Tapas bar and Bohemian restaurant share inside –outside space. Excellent ahi tuna small plate among other goodies.
Things you must do in San Juan—visit the forts! You can almost see the defenders of old San Juan in gear as you meander through the oceanfront forts. Very walkable from El Convento although walk from street to fort can be hot and dry. On Easter many Puerto Rican families were out on the grassy banks by Fort Morro flying kites—apparently an Easter custom. Lovely!
Go down Fortaleeza St to Barrachina restaurant, note plaque in front labeling it as birthplace of pina colada. Have Jorge the bartender make you one—YUM THE BEST! He will tell you the story of the competition between here and Caribe Hilton for title. We’ve sampled both and here is better. Good Puerto Rican and other cuisine. Evening entertainment that we did not get to sample.
