One of the best SLH hotels we have stayed in. Really friendly and helpful welcome on arrival. We had a lovely double aspect corner room, beautifully furnished, with a complementary bottle of wine and basket of fruit. Breakfasts were fabulous, with a very large choice of cold and hot items (freshly prepared). The receptionists provided plenty of advice on what to do, where to go and how to get there, even booking for us what we chose. The location is great too, right next to the Museum Quarter, at the end of one of the main shopping roads in Vienna and just one U-Bahn stop to Karlplaz and the Statoper. So much to do and see in Vienna too. We would stay at Das Tyrol every time.

The hotel is very convenient for the Museum quarter, but a little way out of the centre (10-15 mins walk to the Old Town, cathedral etc.). Staff were charming, we arrived before the check-in time but had no problems getting our room. Lovely big room, coffee/tea machine, warm bathroom.
Facilities are limited to breakfast and a sauna/hammam, this is a small hotel.
Breakfast buffet - excellent. Everything is replenished quickly and is fresh. Good coffee and nice choice of teas. Prosecco is a nice way to start the day...
Sauna is worth a visit, and is free. You can reserve it by the hour for private use, and it is worth trying!
Only negative aspect: there is no bar or restaurant, and the room service comes from a nearby "Italian", that was not very good when we tried it. There are plenty of restaurants and cafés in the vicinity, but of varying quality. Check with reception. There is also a minibar in the room.
I can't comment on internet facilities as I never use them on holiday!

Special welcome Wine&Water gift as a club member. Contemporary decor and a quiet retreat from busy Vienna. Nice, ample breafast before a day of touring,courteous front desk and comfortable room.
