All of the 15 spacious suites are designed with privacy in mind. Each has a private rear terrace for private dining and to optimise the stunning views of green rolling hills littered with vines. Another compelling reason to stay at The Louise is the dining experience at Appellation with a fantastic nightly Chef’s Wine Flight Tasting Menu and à la carte selections.

Take a private, guided early morning walking tour of a nearby conservation park with a gourmet picnic breakfast in the park surrounded by kangaroos. Attractive spa suites with luxurious amenities and artwork . The main guestroom is reached via a private gated front courtyard. Inside, the king bedded sleeping area is adjacent to a spacious heated floor ensuite with candlelit spa bath for two, dual vanity basins, separate toilet area and double head interior rainshower. A large LCD TV and DVD player, iPOD dock, oversize chairs and footstool complement the sleeping area. Separate spaces for luggage and wardrobe store, writing desk with high speed Internet connection, a minibar, espresso maker and dining table complete the interior. French doors open to a private shaded rear terrace with table and chairs facing the adjacent vineyard.

Stonewell Suite

Premium fireplace spa suites with luxurious amenities and artwork . The main guestroom is reached via a large private gated front courtyard. Inside, the king bedded sleeping area is adjacent to a spacious heated floor ensuite with candlelit spa bath for two, LCD TV, dual vanity basins, separate toilet area, double head interior rainshower and additional private outdoor shower. A gas fireplace, large LCD TV and DVD player, BOSE Wave CD player, iPOD dock, oversize chairs and footstool complement the sleeping area. Separate spaces for luggage and wardrobe store, writing desk with high speed Internet connection, a minibar, espresso maker and dining table complete the interior. French doors open to a private shaded rear terrace with stylish relaxing lounges facing the adjacent vineyard.

Seppeltsfield Suite

The property's premium suite with over 185 square metres of private interior-exterior guest space. The Seppeltsfield Suite is 125 square metres and has a private water feature, sunning lounges on the vineyard facing terrace, a choice of king or twin single bedding and further upscale lighting, artworks, fabrics and furnishings. The two-bedroom Seppeltsfield Suite is 200 square metres, each with a private ensuite with spa tub, a shared lounge room, private entry garden courtyard and a glorious sunset-facing limestone walled rear terrace with lounges, is ideal for families or two couples travelling together or for guests requiring additional facilities to combine luxury personal travel with separate space for business. On prior arrangement, the beds in this suite can be split into four single beds, ideal for an indulgent girls’ escape or for a group of up to four friends travelling together to visit the surrounding wine region’s cellar doors. Amenities of the Seppeltsfield Suite include a private gated courtyard with outdoor dining table for four, lounge room with fireplace, sofa, chairs and footstool, and dining table and chairs, three LCD TVs, two DVD players, two BOSE Wave CD players, two iPOD docks, dual spa tub, king beds with luxury linens, two writing desks each with wired and wireless high speed internet access, and espresso maker and full minibar. Each ensuite bathroom features two basins, a separate toilet area, a walk-in indoor shower with rain-head and hand-held shower wand, and a private outdoor shower with sunning bench.

Many guests choose to stay at The Louise because of the international reputation of our on-site restaurant, Appellation. Guests wishing to dine at this intimate (and often fully booked) restaurant are advised to request a reservation at the time of making their accommodation booking. Guests arriving at The Louise without a prior restaurant booking are may not be able to be seated at their preferred time on nights when the restaurant is already at capacity.

The Louise is situated in the heart of the Barossa Valley, surrounded by hundreds of acres of vineyards.  Most guests choose to hire a car at the Adelaide airport and make the easy 75 minute drive to the property.  Other alternatives include transfers via sedan car, limousine, minivan or luxury coach with private drivers and/or tour guides included.  For a special arrival, helicopter transfers with pickup at Adelaide airport will tour Adelaide and the rolling vineyards enroute to the private landing pad on-site at The Louise.  The hotel can arrange any of these alternatives at additional cost.

Directions

The Louise is located in the easily accessed Northwest sector of the Barossa Valley about one hour and ten minutes from Adelaide following Main North Road and Sturt Highway. Driving Directions from Adelaide Airport and City If starting at the airport, follow the directions from here: Leaving the airport car park or car rental lot, you are on Sir Richard Williams Avenue (the internal airport drive). Turn right (Eastbound) away from the IKEA store onto Sir Donald Bradman Drive. Proceed about 5km into the Central Business District (CBD) of the city of Adelaide. At the main square in the centre of the city (Victoria Square), turn left (Northbound) onto King William Street. If starting from within the city, proceed to King William Street (the main North/South route through the CBD) and progress Northbound following the directions from here: Proceed about 10km from the CBD through North Adelaide and the inner Northern suburbs, following signs for Main North Road (A20). At Gepps Cross five-way intersection, bear slightly right (to the Northeast) continuing to follow Main North Road (A20). As you approach the city of Gawler (about 40 minutes to the Northeast of Adelaide), stay straight on the (A20), following the sign that says Barossa Valley via Nuriootpa. Continue through the rolling farmland on the (A20) for another 20 minutes, over a hill with a large Penfolds sign at the top. Continue another 5 minutes on the (A20), exiting where signposted to Nuriootpa. At the end of the exit ramp, turn right towards Nuriootpa and 1 minute later turn right onto Stonewell Road. At the first stop sign on Stonewell Road, turn right onto Seppeltsfield Road. The Louise is just ahead on the left at the top of the hill on Seppeltsfield Road. Total driving time: approximately 75 minutes, depending on traffic in the city.

By air
