Masseria Torre Coccaro

Summary

A 16th century fortified farmhouse in rural Puglia, set in a large estate overlooking the Mediterranean Sea just minutes from the farm. Masseria Torre Coccaro is a delightful mix of rustic charm and Italian style. Surrounded by olive and almond trees, it has a lake-style swimming pool, a subterranean Aveda Spa, superb organic cuisine and a private beach club.

All the rooms are extremely atmospheric. Some are in the tower with vaulted ceilings, others are in the courtyard or carved into caves with open fireplaces and private gardens. Wander around and discover the old ‘tufara’, now a kitchen garden providing fresh produce for the restaurant.

Cycle to the private beach where you will find an oyster and sushi bar. Alternatively, take the hotel’s yacht out for the day and explore Monopoli harbour, before returning for a refreshing spa treatment. Culinary enthusiasts can enjoy a cookery class before dining on traditional Apulian recipes in the restaurant.
