Villa Crespi is an ornately carved folly: a knight’s palace offering guests the chance to immerse themselves in a real Arabian knights tale.

Seduced by the charms of the orient, Cristoforo Benigno Crespi built the villa in the 19th Century. Filled with richly carved, Moorish columns, intricately patterned floors and frescoed ceilings, it has entertained royalty, poets, artists and industrialists since the 1930s.

Following major restoration, Villa Crespi opened as a luxury hotel and restaurant, its rich interiors providing the setting for luxurious four-poster bedrooms hung with 19th-century paintings. Two Michelin Stars have been awarded to chef Cannavacciuolo whose Mediterranean cuisine is matched by a list of over 1,000 French and Italian wines.
