Escape to an elegant and serene 18th century patrician villa surrounded by vines and olive trees in the heart of Italy. A former aristocratic residence, today Villa di Monte Solare is a sophisticated retreat with fabulous food and wine, two swimming pools, indulgent spa and beauty treatments and a tennis court.

Choose a room or suite in the main villa, where you will find large fireplaces, frescoes, ancient cotto floors and period furnishings. For something a little more rustic, stay in one of the estate’s historic and tranquil farmhouses. Enjoy a leisurely lunch on the restaurant terrace, under the shade of the lime trees with the heady scent of roses, lemon and orange trees in the air.

In the afternoon, relax by one of the swimming pools that overlook the rolling hills or meander through the formal Italian garden and visit the16th century chapel. The following day, discover the neighbouring medieval villages and Lake Trasimeno.
