Originally an ancient monastery, Villa Michelangelo is now styled as a fine 18th-century country mansion set in a great park of formal gardens, rolling hills and cypress trees overlooking the city of Vicenza.

Vicenza is a living monument to the world’s most admired architect, Andrea Palladio, and contains many examples of his work. Emulating this Palladian elegance, and just 10 minutes drive away, is Villa Michelangelo. Here, guests can savour the finest in regional cuisine without even leaving the grounds.

The swimming pool has a sliding roof which is opened during the summer months; while the nearby Colli Berici Golf Course is one of the most scenic in the region. However, no stay would be complete without a visit to the jewels of the Veneto: Venice, Padua, Verona and, of course, Vicenza itself.
