Summary

The village of Montchanin, listed on the National Register of Historic places, lies midway between Washington DC and New York, in historic Brandywine Valley. Once part of Winterthur, Montchanin gets its name from the grandmother of the founder of the DuPont Gunpowder Company.

The Inn is a collection of 11 carefully restored 18th and 19th century buildings which house 28 guest rooms and suites appointed with period furniture, marble baths and all modern amenities. Complete with a fitness centre, spa, gourmet restaurant and beautiful flower-filled gardens.

Enjoy a walk down ‘Privy Lane’ to savour the gardens and uniqueness of this historic property.
