High Acclaim for two of Small Luxury Hotels of the World's London Hotels.
The Capital Hotel Named "London Hotel of the Year". "The Stafford" Voted No.2 "Top International City Hotel"
Hotels within the brand of Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) continue to receive worldwide acclaim, which is further testament to their unwavering standards of excellence.
Earlier this week, The Capital Hotel was named "London Hotel of the Year" at the 2008 César Awards; while The Stafford, also in London, was recognised in Andrew Harper's Hideaway Report, where it was voted number two "Top International City Hotel" and number one in London.
"In a city like London where competition is extremely tough, I am incredibly proud that two of our hotels have received such amazing recognition," commented Paul Kerr, Joint Managing Director of Small Luxury Hotels of the World. "At Small Luxury Hotels of the World, we pride ourselves on our ability to consistently deliver the highest standards to an increasingly demanding clientele; and winning these awards proves that our London hotels are able to do just that," Mr Kerr added.
The César Awards are highly regarded by hoteliers and are often referred to as "the Oscars of the hotel industry". The awards, which are organised by The Good Hotel Guide, are bestowed on hotels that are considered to be outstanding in their own class and that have a distinct character and an attitude to service that puts the customer first. All of these are attributes that Small Luxury Hotels of the World places enormous emphasis on. The Capital Hotel, which has been part of Small Luxury Hotels of the World since 2002, was commended in particular by the Good Hotel Guide for its remarkable consistency and for "creating an oasis of calm in busy Knightsbridge".
Similarly, The Stafford's unfaltering standards have been acknowledged in Andrew Harper's Hideaway Report's 26th Annual Survey of Sophisticated Travellers. The Stafford, which has been part of Small Luxury Hotels of the World since 1990, managed to maintain its number two ranking in the "Top International City Hotel" category and also its top spot for London
Andrew Harper's Hideaway Report is an independent monthly publication and it is regarded as the ultimate authority on luxury travel. With more than 25,000 affluent and sophisticated members, this recent accolade is an extremely prestigious one for The Stafford.
