An inn has been on the site of Hotel-Restaurant De Beukenhof, in Oegstgeest, since the mid-14th century. Set in beautifully landscaped English country-style gardens with three 100-year-old beech trees, from which the property takes its name, this intimate retreat has one of the best known and most respected restaurants in the Netherlands together with nine immaculately decorated suites.

There is an intimacy at De Beukenhof, rather like a private home. All the suites are individually decorated and vary in style enormously.
