The Torridon

Summary

Turrets and towers at the foot of Liathach Mountain, The Torridon sits on the edge of a beautiful loch in the North West Highlands of Scotland. A former grand shooting lodge, it is a relaxed and stylish bolt-hole with excellent dining, a vast range of adventure activities and a whisky bar with over 300 malts.

With the ambience of a Scottish baronial manor, complete with log fires, leather armchairs and deep sofas, the ambience is homely yet elegant. Rooms and suites are bright and airy in contemporary furnishings. Dining is a real treat here, with excellent cuisine taken directly from the Highland larder right on the doorstep.

This is one of the best places in the UK for mountaineering, rock climbing and kayaking. However, there are less strenuous activities such as archery, clay pigeon shooting and guided glen walks. Head to the coast to see some amazing wildlife, including sea otters, seals and occasionally, eagles.
